Contributing › Workshops & Workgroups

The working groups and workshops provide a place for exchange and presentation of new methods, research directions, developments and applications on a topic related to Human-Computer Interaction in the broadest sense. Whether it is an existing AFIHM working group, or a group of people wishing to organize a workshop on a particular topic, these sessions represent an opportunity to make progress in a specific field, and promote the development of communities sharing the same interests.

This year IHM innovates and offers the possibility for industrialists to organize workshops in order to train the IHM community in the use of their tools. This device complements the possibility of running a demonstration stand during the demo night, and provides a platform to discuss the tools presented in depth.

How to submit a workshop?

The themes proposed in the groups and workshops can deal with different aspects related to CHI, such as theoretical or applied research, CHI practices, new methodologies, CHI teaching, CHI for learning, emerging application areas, technological innovations, design innovations, or topics related to management and management, strategy, and organizational problems.

During the conference, a special session will be set up to allow the organizers to provide feedback on the workshops and working groups to all conference participants.

How to participate in workshops or WGs?

Once the WG or workshop has been selected, the organizers can launch a participation process with or without submissions.

In the event that the organizers request submissions, these will be evaluated by the workshop organizers (they may use reviewers if necessary).

In addition, when submitting scientific papers, authors will have the opportunity to select the WG/Workshop(s) for which their contribution would be suitable. This information will be transmitted to the organizers of the WG/Workshops so that they can know the number of people who might be interested in their WG/Workshop, but also so that they can invite these authors to participate in their WG/Workshop.

Format: papers, presentations and posters

In the case of a call for participation via a scientific contribution submission process, the selected papers may be archived in the extended proceedings of the HAL conference.
